Soul Ties Arusha grew out of friendships formed in Arusha and a commitment to practical support that continues long after a single visit ends.
We work with families we know, listening first and responding to what they say would make the biggest difference. That usually means steady, unglamorous things: school fees paid on time, a roof that keeps the rain out, food in the cupboard and someone who follows up next term.

We start with a conversation. Families describe what is standing in the way, and together we agree what support is realistic and most useful. We stay in contact between decisions, and our local relationships and judgement guide what happens on the ground.

Education
A place in school is only the beginning.
Getting through the school gate matters enormously. Staying, learning and doing well depends on much more.
A child may also need exercise books and pens, a uniform that fits, extra tuition in a subject they find hard, light to read by in the evening and a home settled enough for homework to happen at all. We try to look at the whole picture with each family, then fill the gaps that are within our means.
